How I cope with my ED
I eat healthy.
It didn’t cure my ED, I mean, It’s still sketchy…food still bothers me…Eating a whole plate of healthy, nutritious foods doesn’t make me feel any better. It doesn’t matter what the content is…It’s still a whole plate and it makes me feel like a fat ass.
However, after I eat healthy for a day, or even a week, (even if i binge) I don’t gain weight! It seems impossible! My heart explodes with relief every time I step on the scale and find I haven’t gained weight.
But, the fact is- healthy foods have more nutrition and less calories; therefore, even if you binge you won’t gain as much weight as you would if you binged on fast food.
Don’t get me wrong. I still struggle with my ED every day…But, knowing that eating healthy actually HELPS me…Well, it makes me a little bit less anxious when I have to eat food…
Anyway, the point of this post is that…ED’s are hard to overcome…and everyone does their own thing to get through them. Healthy eating just happens to be my way of coping.
So please Stay Strong because YOU deserve to be happy. And if you disagree…If you don’t think you deserve happiness, that’s okay. I think you deserve to be happy. My ask box is always open.
